Rumour: Next Need for Speed Game Reveal Imminent, Out in December

Getting a bit concerned about this game. Very late trailer and promoting the game with 'unique tracks' which last I checked most racers have (outside of simulation racers). EA have actually been showing off some good games lately but this seems like a rush job, hopefully the trailer will prove otherwise

Focusing on multiplayer and anime style art, this franchise is been set up to die it seems,

new nfs, normally a blast, if a bit silly.

sees multiplayer... reads as MTX. ruined.

"Featuring Rapper ASAP Rocky" means to me that I'll be muting the game soundtrack and playing my own music just like I had to do with NFS Heat's abysmal soundtrack as well.

OG Most Wanted would be great too, but I have no interest in an multilayer focused NFS.

They should forget about nfs and bring back burnout.

I'm interested purely based on the fact that it's a next gen exclusive as there simply aren't enough of them.

I liked Heat, I just didn't love it. Make something like Most Wanted 2010 and it's going to be a winner

@Americansamurai1 The fact EA killed the better, more consistent arcade racer to promote a dying IP always baffled me.

If they were smart they'd stagger their releases almost the way Forza switches between Horizon and it's mainline titles.

Bloody hell, NFS has been destroyed and this game sounds like it’s being buried further.

That rapper would get turned off ASAP.

For the love of all that is holy! Just give us a burnout 2 remake! Pure arcade racing with 4k 60fps crashes, dualsense support and modern particle effects. Why is EA so reluctant to acknowledge the Burnout series? They're just leaving money on the table at this point.

Would it really hurt them to take at least a one game break from NFS? After this game if they made a new Burnout or remake a old one and then made the next NFS would that really destroy morale in the studio and force EA into bankruptcy?

Not been interested in this series since NFS Underground 2.. if it’s anything like 2 I will be happy to check it out.. otherwise, I’ll save my money for literally anything else

@Americansamurai1 true. I still have a working fat ps2 and Revenge gets plenty of playing time even all these years later. Awesome game

Another game that will be mercilessly hated for being new instead of a remaster/remake.
